Mr.
Bobchin joined the firm in 2000 becoming a Partner in 2002. He has
15 years of experience in various fields of civil litigation, and
has extensive trial experience.
Practice and Experience:
Mr. Bobchin's practice areas include Transportation, Professional
Liability, Construction Law, Premises liability, Products liability,
Coverage Litigation and Appellate Practice. He has represented motor
carriers, large and small construction firms, municipalities and
housing authorities, property managers, and conservation and
sportsman organizations. Mr. Bobchin has handled a variety of high
exposure cases, and has defended and prosecuted matters involving a
number of high profile litigants.
During the first 10 years of his career Mr. Bobchin concentrated
his practice in the New York State Courts beginning his career in a
plaintiff's practice under the tutelage of the late Harry H. Lipsig.
The skills and insights he developed during those years provided him
with a unique prospective in litigating cases and negotiating
settlements. After several years in a plaintiff's practice, Mr.
Bobchin began concentrating his career on the defense side of civil
litigation.
Mr. Bobchin has litigated matters in both the State and Federal
Courts of New York and New Jersey, and before the New York Court of
Claims. He has tried cases in both States and has handled appeals
before the New York and New Jersey Appellate Divisions, and the New
Jersey Supreme Court.
In addition to his trial experience, Mr. Bobchin has also handled
matters in a variety of Alternative Dispute Resolution formats,
including Arbitration and Mediation, and has appeared before a
variety of Municipal Courts.
